Currently there is no facility within Mycosm to capture or export environments directly. Our development pipeline for the immediate future does include the introduction of exports to image/videos directly out of Mycosm - unfortunately we do not have a firm indication of when that will be available. With regard to formats, no specifications have been made at this time.
until such functionality is available, there are third party products - Camtasia and FRAPS are 2 examples - that are designed specifically for screen capture purposes. It is possible to publish a Mycosm environment, open the published Player file and then maximise the view to full screen for capture using one of these types of packages.
The default settings in a Mycosm environment allow you to publish to a player file, and navigate that environment in the Mycosm Player via standard WASD and L-mouse click controls. The sensitivity of the controls can be altered via the mouse wheel as in Mycosm Studio. A combination of this movement and a third party screen capture product would enable you to produce a video of your environment. Of course the particular formats of such a video would be determined by the package performing the screen capture.

Hope this helps!
